There’s no escaping the hype across the city and the Kookas have also found themselves in the thick of the action with the club hosting the co-founders of the The Grade Cricketer - Sam Perry and Ian Higgins - at an early-morning training session in Brooklyn.

The NY Kookaburras played host to Sam Perry and Ian Higgins from The Grade Cricketer at an early-morning Wednesday training session in Brooklyn. With the former cricketers turned podcasts sensations in the Big Apple to cover the T20 World Cup, Sam and Ian were keen to meet up with the NY Kookaburras to gain an appreciation of what grassroots cricket is really like in the city that never sleeps. With NYC’s downtown skyline looming in the background, the Kookas put the media personalities through their paces on a sunny Wednesday morning. The training session provided Sam and Ian a bite-sized taste of what club-level cricket life is really like in NYC as the Kookas and podcasters went about their session surrounded by the non-stop happenings of every day life in the Big Apple.
